At Delaware Smile Center, our team of skilled and talented dental professionals work together to give your smile the special care it deserves. Our dentists, orthodontist, hygienists, dental assistants, and office personnel are dedicated to making each visit to our office comfortable and enjoyable. Plus, our office is equipped with state-of-the-art dental technology in order to make your treatment more efficient and precise than ever before!
We strive to meet your every need and exceed your every expectation! We take the time to explain your treatment, answer all your questions, and get to know you and your individual dental health and aesthetic goals. Every patient is unique and wonderful, and we celebrate that! We hope to tailor your dental experience to your needs, which is why we offer advanced sedation dentistry techniques for a more relaxing visit. We also believe in the power of education. If you have questions or if there’s something you aren’t sure about, please ask us. You are the most important part of your dental team, and we take your needs very seriously.
Dr. Saqib Usmani is a general and cosmetic dentist who loves helping patients obtain happier, healthier smiles. He graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with both his Doctor of Dental Medicine and Masters in Business Administration. After receiving his degree, Dr. Saqib completed significant amounts of additional training in order to be able to offer patients the most comprehensive selection of high-quality cosmetic dentistry treatments possible. He now serves as an attending faculty member for Christiana Hospital’s General Practice Residency program, helping train other dentists.
Dr. Sohaib Usmani is an extensively trained general and implant dentist. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and has brought his love of both dentistry and education with him to Delaware Smile Center. Dr. Sohaib specializes in implant dentistry techniques, and he even teaches courses about dental implants at the Wilmington Hospital Dental Clinic. He strives to always provide compassionate, comfortable care and emphasizes patient empowerment and education throughout the treatment process.
Dr. Sophia Usmani is a skilled orthodontist who provides a range of treatments designed to help patients improve their bite and tooth alignment, including Invisalign® and traditional braces. She received her Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she was also later accepted into the orthodontic residency program. Dr. Usmani is committed to providing patients with top-quality orthodontic care in a comfortable, and relaxed environment. She works closely with the other dentists here at Delaware Smile Center in order to maximize patient outcomes and provide comprehensive care for all of your dental needs under the same roof.
Dr. Patel brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and a deep-rooted passion for dentistry to our practice. Dr. Patel’s interest in dentistry led him to the prestigious University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating, Dr. Patel pursued additional education and training in dentistry through Christiana Care’s general hospital residency. This advanced program further honed his expertise and prepared him to provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
Anila grew up in Philadelphia and went to school at Temple University. While at Temple University, Anila studied Biology and Education and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, Anila worked as an educator for the School District of Philadelphia.
Anila joined the Delaware Smile Center team in 2008. As Office Manager, Anila brings a fresh perspective to running the practice. She makes it her goal to motivate others to do their best. Her objective is to create an efficient but friendly dental office so patients get the healthy smile they deserve.
Abbie is a 2011 graduate of Delaware Technical Community College’s dental hygiene program. She currently resides in Chesapeake City, Maryland where she enjoys being on the water. Abbie strives to stay current with the latest in dental health literature so that she can provide the best possible care to all of her patients.
Valerie graduated with her associate of science degree from Harcum College in 2010. In 2011 she received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore.
Valerie says the best part of her job is educating patients while we help them get healthy.
Valerie lives in Fair Hill, Maryland where she loves to run with her dog through the local trails.
Denise brings with her 30 years of experience in customer service. After running her own business for twelve years, she decided to go back to a career in the medical field. Denise attended Del Tech’s dental assistant program in 2011 and joined the Delaware Smile Center team as a dental assistant that same year. Denise finds the position to be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. She loves smiles!
Denise enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games with her four children, reading a good book, and being at the beach.
Taylor was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware. She graduated in 2020 from Delcastle High School with a license in cosmetology. Taylor enjoys making people feel good about themselves which is why she loves being a dental assistant! Taylor loves spending time with her family and friends, baking, painting and going to the beach.
Jennifer completed her dental assisting training at Harris School of Business in 2015. She joined Delaware Smile Center that same year. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is helping people smile again.
In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, and she loves spending time with family and friends, baking and staying in with her husband, dog Jax and bunny Milo.
Olivia has been a valued member of the Delaware Smile Center team since 2018. As a dedicated professional, she takes great pride in helping patients achieve healthier smiles and finds it incredibly rewarding to witness the life-changing results that modern dental technology can provide. Olivia is passionate about patient care and loves being part of each individual’s smile transformation journey.
Outside the office, Olivia is a proud boy mom of two and cherishes making memories on the water with her family. A devoted fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers, she’s always tuned into the action. She also enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new foods, and unwinding with a good puzzle.
Ashley lives in Newark where she loves going for walks with her 8 year old pit bull. Ashley loves going to amusement parks, concerts, visiting the beach and spending time outside when the weather is pleasant. Ashely is currently finishing her education at Hodgson Vocational High School. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is making patients happy, seeing them smile and helping them out as much as possible!
Zaahid is a dedicated dental assistant currently enrolled in courses at the University of Delaware, with aspirations of becoming a dentist in the future. His passion for dentistry shines through in the care he provides and his commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and confident.
Outside the office, Zaahid enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with friends, and never turns down a good slice of pizza. His enthusiasm and friendly nature make him a valued part of our team.
Meet Kyla, one of our amazing team members! As an Aquarius, Kyla brings creativity, independence, and a vibrant spirit to everything she does.
When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her traveling to new places—always on the lookout for her next adventure—or shopping for the latest styles and unique finds.
Kyla’s adventurous heart and trend-savvy eye make her a joy to be around, and we’re lucky to have her on the team!
Originally born in Pennsylvania and raised in Los Angeles, Armeen later graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biological Sciences. Her lifelong passion for helping others, paired with her love of art and science, makes her a perfect fit for the dental field.
Armeen is especially passionate about helping people get their dental health back on track, and she finds joy in making a positive difference in her patients’ lives every day.
When she’s not working, Armeen enjoys expressing her artistic side—whether it’s through painting, making jewelry, or simply relaxing with her cats. She also loves spending time with friends and family, embracing both creativity and connection in her downtime.
Jeanne has been with Delaware Smile Center since it opened in 2008. She has worked in the dental field for over twenty years and has experience with both the front office as well as the clinical aspects of dentistry. Whether it’s answering phones, reviewing treatment plans with patients, or providing our doctors with chair-side assistance, she really does do it all!
Jeanne lives in the Middletown area with her husband Steve and their three children Sierra, Nathan, and Emma. She enjoys spending her free time with her family going to the beach, reading, attending all of the children’s school and sport functions, and being very involved with her daughters in Girl Scouting.
Originally from Maryland, Nicole plays a key role in our orthodontic team, specializing in treatment planning. She enjoys working closely with patients throughout their smile journey and finds it especially rewarding to help them achieve their goals.
Outside the office, Nicole is an avid Philly sports fan who never misses a game. She also enjoys riding her bike and caring for her cat and two fish tanks. Her attention to detail and supportive nature makes her an important part of our team.
Lindsay has been a valued part of Delaware Smile Center since 2018. Outside the office, she loves spending sunny days at the beach, getting lost in a good book, and making memories with her family and four-legged babies. Whether she’s by the ocean or at the ball field cheering on a game, Lindsay is all about enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
Prior to joining DSC, Brittany was in customer service for 8 years. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, daughter, and two dogs. In her spare time she loves taking trips to the beach and spending time outdoors.
Maggie is originally from Philadelphia but has lifelong ties to the first state. Maggie joined Delaware Smile Center in November of 2019. In her free time she plays viola with a local ensemble. Maggie enjoys cooking, reading British mysteries, and going to Renaissance Faires with her family and friends.
Carly is a valued member of our team who loves helping patients feel confident and achieve healthier smiles. A local at heart, she attended school right here in the same town as our office and enjoys giving back to her community through quality patient care.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys thrifting for unique finds, listening to Taylor Swift, and staying active—she even used to play lacrosse! Her positive energy and genuine care make her a great part of our team.
Yesenia is a graduate of Hodgson Vo-Tech, where she completed the Dental Assistant program. She loves all things DIY—painting, decorating, and making handmade bouquets for special occasions. When she’s not crafting, she’s spending time with family, friends, and her pup Lucy.
Lisa grew up in New Jersey and currently resides in Delaware. Lisa loves spending time with her family, especially her two boys. Lisa is a people person and loves meeting and talking to patients!
Dayanara is originally from Puerto Rico and now lives in Delaware with her husband and three sons. When she is not working with patients at Delaware Smile Center, Dayanara has a passion for doing make-up and making others feel beautiful!

All of us here at Delaware Smile Center believe in the importance of giving back. That is why we have partnered with Warriors Helping Warriors (WHW), a program established in 2013 by the Veterans Resiliency Center that helps connect U.S. military veterans with various resources, including medical care, housing, and employment. As WHW partners, our skilled providers have completed numerous veterans’ dental treatments completely free of charge. A great smile and a healthy mouth can be truly life-changing, and we are proud to be able to support those who have given so much for our country.
In addition to our work with WHW, we are also committed to being active and involved in our local community. Members of our staff have attended blood drives, marched to raise money for breast cancer research, and volunteered to provide vital dental education for children. We also host frequent donation drives benefiting local charities such as the SPCA, homeless shelters, food banks, and more. We are a family-owned and oriented business, and we strive to treat everyone we come into contact with like a part of our family. That is why we work to provide the best possible care for our patients, our staff, and our beautiful community.
