How Dental Implants Work

A dental implant device consists of a small fixture placed within the jawbone to serve as a replacement root. Most of our patients opt to have their implants placed under local anesthesia and find the entire experience comfortable. We do, however, offer IV sedation for those patients who suffer from dental anxiety.
